The collection, utilization, storage, transfer, and processing of your data will vary based on whether you are classified as a Client, Event Participant, or Visitor.
Client Data

Moreover, we utilize Client data to send relevant information such as product announcements, newsletters, and offers. This involves retaining personal data for the duration specified by clients and ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements. Client data is securely stored to safeguard confidentiality and integrity, with measures in place to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure. Additionally, Eventpoint maintains records of Client data processing activities and adheres to data retention policies to manage and dispose of data appropriately when it is no longer required for the intended purposes.
Transfer
Eventpoint ensures the secure transfer of Client data to and from various locations worldwide, including the United States and other countries where operations are conducted. This process involves stringent encryption methods and secure transmission protocols to maintain data integrity and confidentiality. Additionally, Eventpoint's personnel and third-party service providers may access data for service delivery in any country where facilities are present or where engagement with processors or subprocessors occurs. This global approach to data transfer is essential for facilitating business practices and service delivery while adhering to regulatory and contractual requirements.
Event Participant Data
We collect data on behalf of the Client for event management purposes. This data might include names, contact details, and interaction data. The Client controls what information is collected and how it is used.
Collection
Eventpoint collects Event Participant data through various channels and methods. Participants voluntarily provide personal information through the Eventpoint Platform, including details such as names, contact information, and preferences. Clients may also input attendee data with explicit consent or legitimate business interest. Automatic collection methods, such as cookies, capture data as participants interact with the Eventpoint Platform. These data collection processes are designed to facilitate event management and enhance user experience while adhering to privacy regulations and client preferences.
Eventpoint, acting as a data processor, follows the instructions of the Client, who under the data protection laws of the European Economic Area (“EEA”), the United Kingdom or Switzerland acts as data controller, regarding the collection and processing of Event Participant personal data. Eventpoint does not assume responsibility for the privacy practices of the Client or the decisions made regarding Event Participant data, as governed by the privacy policies of the respective Client. Event Participants are encouraged to review the privacy policies of the organizing Client before providing personal data for the event.
We use your information to provide services for the Client, improve those services, or as required by law. We do not sell your data.

Eventpoint utilizes Event Participant data primarily to facilitate event management and enhance user experience. This includes providing personalized services and communicating event-related information. Additionally, Eventpoint may use the data for business networking, personalization of services, and compliance with legal requirements. Clients and Event Participants in the UK, EEA, or Switzerland can lodge complaints with their local data protection authority if necessary. Eventpoint functions as a processor for Event Participants' data under Client direction, without direct control or ownership. Clients are responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations governing data transfer to Eventpoint. Requests for data access, correction, or deletion should be directed to the Client. If the Client instructs Eventpoint to delete personal data to comply with data protection laws, Eventpoint will promptly comply within regulatory timelines. Requests from individual Event Participants directly to Eventpoint will be forwarded to the Client for further guidance.
Clients can manage their personal data or request data access, correction, or deletion for an Event Participant by contacting us at privacy@eventpoint.com. We will process such requests in accordance with applicable regulations. However, we reserve the right to decline requests if they violate laws or would render information inaccurate, informing the Client of any legal constraints. Additionally, we maintain an audit trail of requests to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
For California Residents
Eventpoint is classified as a “service provider” under the California Consumer Privacy Act and does not sell personal information. California residents who are Event Participants and wish to exercise their rights under the CCPA should contact Eventpoint, which will then forward the request to the Client for further action.
Legal Basis for Collecting and Processing Personal Data
Eventpoint's legal basis for collecting and processing personal data of Clients, Event Participants, and Visitors, particularly those from the UK, EEA, Switzerland, or regions requiring lawful bases per GDPR Article 6, varies depending on factors such as the nature of the data and the context of processing. Similarly, Eventpoint's collection and use of personal information for California residents are subject to their rights under the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to request information disclosure, data deletion, and opting out of data sales. These rights extend to various categories of personal data collected and used by Eventpoint, which may include identifiers, professional information, internet activity data, and more.

The Services and products provided by Eventpoint are not intended for individuals under the age of sixteen (16).
